Hi, we’re Brais and Sergio, the creators of Wicca Escape Room. Nice to meet you. If you’re reading this, you may have visited one of our rooms and met us there, perhaps you’ve spoken to us on the phone, or maybe you’re simply a little nosy and felt like having a look around. In any case, allow us to introduce ourselves.
I’m Brais, and I ended up here because of my love of escape rooms. It all started many years ago with an interest in solving escape rooms, first in Vigo and then all over Spain. Over time, that interest turned into a passion for designing escape rooms.
I’ve spent my whole life working in IT… during the day… but at night… I’m Batman! (I’m not deleting this, Sergio. This is my website, and here I am whoever I say I am.)
Throughout my career in IT, I’ve done a bit of everything: systems administration, network administration, ethical hacking, website management and basically anything that could be done while sitting down.
While building our first room, I’ve also worked as a painter, electrician, electronics technician, decorator, cleaner, Game Master, builder and probably a few other jobs whose names I don’t even know… (Hey, just like Da Vinci! 😅)
Some of my hobbies include beer, video games, huge steaks, board games, TV series, films and sports. And now I suppose I can also add building escape rooms to the list.
And I’m Sergio, the more handsome and humble of the two. Professionally, I’ve done a bit of everything, although my career has always revolved around the world of information technology. I’ve worked as a programmer in more languages than I can remember, an IT and office software instructor, a network and systems administrator, in telecommunications and project management, and with technologies identified by endless acronyms that nobody really cares about, such as MGCP, SIP, IOS, SAP, ERP, HCM, FLIP, TIP and BARRIP. I may have made some of those up.
On a personal level, I probably have too many hobbies. Besides escape rooms, I’m really into board games and role-playing games, all kinds of video games, football and motorsports, adventure and fantasy novels, comics, graphic novels, manga, manhwa and manhua. I’m also an amateur DJ, I play the piano, enjoy mixology, try to make the perfect espresso, paint miniatures… and I’d better stop before I run out of space. I have no idea where I’m supposed to find enough time for all of that. Perhaps I need four-day weekends.
And of course, I now also design escape rooms and games for them, mainly focusing on story direction, logical puzzle design, microcontroller programming, decoration, audio and video, special effects, and celebrating with beer and wine.
